Pure Mountaineering, Between Volcanoes and Glacier Lagoons
This trip combines the beauty and contrast of the Adobe Route with views of the lagoons at the Balcón del Pissis and two ascents to over 4,000 meters.
Cerro Falso Morocho (4,484 meters) is located 200 kilometers from Fiambalá (Catamarca), near the San Francisco Pass. It offers unparalleled views of the San Francisco (6016 mts) and Incahuasi (6638 mts) volcanoes, and the magical blue San Francisco Lagoon.
As part of the altitude adjustment process, we will ascend Cerro Coquena (4056 mts) and visit the Balcón del Pissis. From there, the dazzling and majestic Pissis Volcano (6795 mts) appears, the third highest peak in the Americas. Its glacier is visible from its balcony, offering one of the most impressive views of the Andes Mountains. The beautiful lagoons of different colors create a unique spectacle.
This combines satisfying our senses with the area's great biodiversity and taking you to beautiful peaks of over 4,000 meters that will undoubtedly leave you wanting more in the Valley of the Six Thousand.

Meeting in Fiambalá. Introduction of the guides. Departure for the Adobe Route, visiting the Plaza de Armas, the Orquera Oratory, the Mayorazgo, and the Church of Andacollo.
On the way to Cortaderas, where we will spend the night, we will visit the Cañon del Indio (Indian Canyon). This trip will take the full day and its purpose is to aid acclimatization to the altitude.
Arrival at the lodge in Cortaderas, informal lunch. Free afternoon to relax. Optional trek to Pico Cortaderas (3650m).

After breakfast, we will prepare to visit the Balcony of Mt. Pissis. This trip will take up the entire day, which we will use to acclimatize.

After breakfast, we'll prepare to begin our trek to Cerro Coquena (4060m). Once we reach the summit, we'll take a break and enjoy the view, weather permitting. Return to the vehicle and the lodge.

Private transfer. Trek to Cerro Falso Morocho. From its summit, we'll have a spectacular view of the San Francisco (6016m), Bertran (5260m), and Incahuasi (6640m) volcanoes, as well as the beautiful Laguna San Francisco. Overnight stay in the Las Grutas or Las Losas area in a refuge or tent, depending on availability. At the end of the trek, we'll return to Fiambalá, concluding our services.
